Eating My Way To Better Blood Health And Seizure Freedom - The Best Thing My Uncle Could Ever Have Done For Me!
The following account is on behalf of our 21 year old daughter who has severe
Uncontrolled epilepsy and learning difficulties (Lennox Gastaux Syndrome), the
worse form of epilepsy there is. If our daughter could express herself in her own
words, this is how we believe she would choose to share with you her experience of
living with epilepsy and finally,... 'seeing light at the end of the tunnel':
Introducing me to Errol Denton is the best thing my uncle could ever have done for
me. Having consulted Errol about his own health, my uncle was so impressed by
the results, he booked an appointment for me on 1st 0ctober 2008. Having analysed
my blood, what Errol told my mum stunned and amazed her. You see, he described
so accurately many health issues I have been experiencing without him knowing any of
my background history. I have had seizures since I was born very prematurely and
started taking a sedative from approximately 9 months of age. I was formally diagnosed
an epileptic at age 4, which was to shape my future life. On the menu was an ever
increasing cocktail of noxious anti-epileptic drugs - one for nearly each of the five
different seizure types I experienced on a daily basis. At one point I was on six different
drugs each day, not to mention numerous other drugs to counter some of the severe
side effects I experienced. Naturally, my system came under immense stress and I
experienced inflamation, infections, unexplained swellings - face, lips, eye lids, mouth
blistering, swollen and bleeding gums, swollen glands, fevers, temperature, chronic
constipation, aches and pains, sleeplessness, lethargy and fatigue to name but a few.
As my health increasingly deteriorated, my seizures worsened. The medics' answer
was for me to try out even newer drugs, the safety and future health implications of
which were not yet known. I went downhill fast and developed a life threatening condition,
which culminated in me being admitted to intensive care battling for my life, back in 2005.
The doctors told my mum and dad to expect the worse. My system had become very toxic
from drugs while at my specialist epilepsy school and I was admitted to hospital there. On
my discharge home a week later, my parents had me re-admitted to my local hospital. I had
a high uncontrollable temperature, a rash and rigors. Despite my parents insistence that I
was experiencing a severe drug-induced reaction, the doctors flexed their egotistical muscles
because 'they knew best'. As a consequence of this, valuable time was lost and I nearly lost
my life. <a href="http://www.health-womens-healthy-living-goals.com/

health scare experience here</a>. From 2005-2007 my mum was on a mission to wean my
anti-epileptic drugs (against my consultant's better judgement). By Summer 2007 I was
successfully weaned from 6 down to 3.
When my mum attempted to wean the 4th, she quickly realised that 3 was the threshold
at which she could keep my seizures stable. However, with feeling much better and happier
within myself, I left home to live in a residential setting with other young people of my own age.
The management and staff promised my mum faithfully that they would stick to my healthy
eating diet but within 5 months I was back home on account of poor diet, chronic weight loss
and constipation, which caused my seizures to increase significantly. Naturally, the report to
my consultant from the residential home was biased to say the least and would most certainly
have led to an increase in my existing medication or newer drugs. I cannot begin to explain the
state of ill-health I was experiencing on my return home. I had a greyish pallor, my nails had a
bluish tinge and my hands and feet were always cold and appeared drained of blood. I was
chronically constipated and was experiencing an increase in 'Atonic' seizures, which also
affected my swallowing, making me reluctant to drink. My mum decided to take matters into
her own hands and that's when I met Errol.
What Errol told my mum about the findings of my blood test validated all her concerns about
the serious side effects from various anti-epileptic drugs, (something my consultants had in the
past dismissed) and her beliefs about the importance of diet and 'healing foods'. My mum had
always ensured I followed a very healthy diet that was rich in fruit and veg, yet low in salt and
no sugar. I always looked and felt much more healthy and experienced far less seizures when
I was at home. Despite this, Errol pointed out to my mum that while vegetables were o.k, my
system was loaded with sugar, the cause of which was due to my anti-epileptic medication
and the countless times I had taken antibiotics to counter infections. Fruit was therefore a big
'No No'. Further, that my immune system was completely shot. I had been experiencing
recurring ear and throat infections since April 2008. This resulted in a significant increase in
tonic and tonic/clonic seizures, which were so powerful that I would bite deeply into my tongue
in the same spot up to 20 times over a 24 hour period. My dentist even wanted me to have a
mouth guard fitted. I started the diet Errol devised for me that same night. He had explained
that my goal was to build and strengthen my immune system, rid my body of yeast and
improve my production of healthy blood cells, while at the same time improving seizure
control.
Two weeks into the diet my hands and nails were a glowing pink. The acne type rash across my
forehead cleared up, my bowel function was daily and the severity of my seizures eased.
Approximately one month into my healthy eating program, my mum spoke with Errol, updating
him on my progress. At this point my major seizures had subsided enormously and although
these were still severe, I wasn't biting my tongue anywhere near as before. However, I was
experiencing an increase in milder 'Absent' seizures. Errol advised my mum to add a cup of
mung bean sprouts to my meal daily. I don't know if that's what did the trick but by early
November the 'Absent' seizures subsided and my other seizures resolved even more. My mum
started weaning one of my drugs in late November and I was completely off it by 1st January 2009,
without any adverse reaction. My mum then started weaning one of the other two drugs and that
has been going well so far although I have experiended withdrawals, which is usually short-lived. I
expect to be fully weaned by the 1st week in February 2009. Thereafter I will have only one more to
go. Everyone tells me how great I am looking - even my GP and social worker appear quite
astounded by my progress in such a short space of time.
I have chosen to share my experience with you, rather than this being just another testimonial
for Errol. My mum genuinely believe that I am eating for my life and she has made it her
mission to challenge 'Health' to swap funding my anti-epileptic drugs for my 'health food for
life supplements' - i.e. Miracle Greens Powder, Udo's Oil and Chlorphyll. My seizures have
decreased both in number and in severity, which I attribute solely to the healthy healing diet Errol
has devised for me. It took my mum over 2 years to safely withdraw 3 of my drugs. With my new
diet I have achieved 2 drugs reduction in two months. I am living proof that anyone who is
experiencing ill-health issues can bring about positive change. Even if you believe you are in
excellent health, make a point of not taking this for granted. How do I foresee the future unfolding?
Watch this space!
Our very deepest thanks to Errol and you too Ruth - your support has not gone unnoticed
and is greatly appreciated. The biggest compliment we can pay you as a family, is that my
dad, who happens to be the biggest sceptic there is, was overheard praising Errol's diet for
my new found lease of life.
God Speed.
